Emotional Support and Counseling
Building a family through fertility treatments or pursuing fertility preservation can be both physically and emotionally challenging, as well as a life-altering experience. Feelings of isolation or aloneness are common, but it is important you understand that you do not have to go through this process alone. At RMA of New York, we offer extensive emotional support and counseling services to help individuals and families cope with the ups and downs that may be faced while trying to conceive.
We offer the following services to all of our patients:
Individual & Couples Therapy Programs
Infertility Treatments
Support for patients engaged in fertility treatments, such as IUI, IVF, ICSI, and PGT. Guidance may include assistance making informed decisions, management of emotional experiences and how to work through relationship stress more productively.
Fertility Preservation
Support for patients undergoing fertility preservation treatments, such as oocyte cryopreservation (egg freezing), embryo cryopreservation (embryo freezing), and sperm banking. Guidance may include education about the process, assistance in anticipation of future needs, and focus on stress reduction techniques. Family and group sessions focusing on fertility preservation are also available.
Egg Donation Recipients
Support for patients participating in the donor egg program. The guidance includes an opportunity for recipients to carefully and thoughtfully explore feelings and ideas, receive education, and openly discuss concerns so they can approach the path to parenthood with comfort and confidence.
