Research and Academics
Dr. Aharon is passionate about clinical and laboratory research and has authored numerous scientific abstracts and peer-reviewed manuscripts. She has published research on topics including optimization of fertility preservation and IVF outcomes as well as reproductive surgery, oncofertility, and menopause. She has also conducted laboratory research on genetic determinants of sexual development using zebrafish as a model organism. Her first-author manuscript, “In Vitro Fertilization and Early Pregnancy Outcomes after Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Vaccination,” published in the Green Journal, is one of the largest studies demonstrating that the COVID-19 vaccine does not affect reproductive potential.
Awards
Dr. Devora Aharon was awarded membership into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society as well as Distinction in Research and the Obstetrics and Gynecology Prize during her training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and with prestigious Leadership and Service Awards at Columbia University. She was selected as Administrative Chief Resident during residency. Dr. Aharon has been named a Rising Star by SuperDoctors and is a Castle Connolly Top Doctor.
