In recent years, “femtech” companies have brought to market a wide array of products and services that are advertised as helping women along the path to self-determination and healthy, sustainable lifestyles. In 2015 Polaris was put on the market. Polaris is custom software that allows fertility clinics to compare a couple’s health information with a larger pool of data and develop an appropriate treatment plan. Alan Copperman, the medical director of Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York, one of the top fertility clinics in the country, uses Polaris to help couples set expectations. “There’s so much anxiety that goes along with fertility treatment.
