Hope and Healing: Conversations on Pregnancy and Infant Loss
October 21, 2020, 05:00 PM - 06:00 PM
Online
The month of October is internationally recognized as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. This is a time to recognize the loss so many parents around the country and world, unfortunately, experience. It is also a time meant to inform and provide resources for parents who have lost children due to miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirths, and other causes. Fortunately, there are resources and individuals who can help those who have experienced loss regain their hope and heal.
This free, virtual webinar will feature a panel of experts to address various topics within the realm of pregnancy and infant loss. Dr. Lucky Sekhon, reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist, will describe various causes of miscarriage and recurrent loss and the use of assisted reproductive technology to overcome these challenges. Nancy Berlow, LCSW, will discuss tools and strategies to cope with loss as well as describe her counseling and support service, Pregnancy Loss Support Program. Finally, Jennifer Broder will share her personal story of pregnancy loss, the lessons she learned from the experience, and how she felt joy again after experiencing such grief. Moderated by Rena Gower, RMA of New York’s Licensed Clinical Social Worker, this event will be a valuable resource and, hopefully, a source of comfort to those who have experienced a loss and are trying to heal.
