Experience the RMA Difference

For more than 20 years, RMA of New York has been diagnosing and treating patients to help them reach their reproductive goals. Together, our team has accumulated hundreds of years of combined clinical experience, and possesses expertise in the precision diagnosis and treatment of patients facing infertility, as well as those looking to preserve their fertility in order to build a family in the future.

Dedication to Medical Excellence

Our dedication to medical excellence is exemplified through the extensive training and education of our expert fertility specialists, who collaborate with patients to align on a plan to achieve positive reproductive outcomes. The RMA of New York team combines personalized and patient-centric care with cutting-edge procedures and technologies, including embryo biopsy and screening via preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) and next-generation sequencing, followed by elective single embryo transfer (eSET) to reduce the risk of chromosomal abnormalities, miscarriages, and multiple gestations.

For the first several decades of in vitro fertilization, it was common to retrieve, fertilize and then transfer the best embryo or embryos into the uterus. The problem with performing a fresh embryo transfer is that the endometrium is often advanced and the chance of successful implantation could be compromised.

The reproductive journey is different now than it was 20 years ago, 10 years ago, and will be months from now. By analyzing big data, accessing machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence, focusing on genomic and personalized medicine, and ultimately relying on compassionate and consistent clinical care, physicians can improve reproductive outcomes for their patients. We are proud to contribute to science, and look forward to participating in the advancement of the field of reproductive medicine for years to come.

Alan B. Copperman, MD

Now that we are routinely genetically screening embryos prior to transfer and have access to big data to support our medical decisions, it is clear that transferring an embryo into a prepared endometrium gives it a much greater chance of surviving and becoming a healthy ongoing pregnancy. Freezing and thawing technologies have significantly improved, and as a result, we are experiencing a 98% embryo survival rate with vitrification and rewarming. The additional several weeks added to an IVF cycle by implementing modern IVF technologies, including biopsy, freezing, and thawing is a minimal cost when weighed against higher success rates, lower miscarriage rates, and healthier babies.
